The Graph Foundation

Sourcing Recruiter, Web3

Full-Time in United States - Remote OK

The Graph Foundation supports core contributors, enables community development, distributing grants, and leads decentralization efforts within the broader Graph ecosystem. The Foundation's mandate is to develop and grow the ecosystem to ensure the sustainability of The Graph Network.

The Recruiting Team sits within The Graph Foundation and supports Foundation and Core Development Team hiring efforts. We are especially focused on Edge & Node and The Graph Foundation while aiding other teams within our ecosystem, as needed.

We are looking for a Sourcing Recruiter who is early in their career, can support both technical and non-tech roles, and is passionate about The Graph, web3, and blockchain technology. You’ll work alongside the Head of Talent and will focus primarily on outreach to passive candidates and acting as the point of contact while candidates are in the early stages of their interview process. Some light coordination activities should be expected, as well. We hope to have you join our team in early June 2024. This is a remote role, however ideally you will be located in North America or Europe.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Proactively building and maintaining a candidate pipeline for multiple technical and non-technical roles
  • Partnering with hiring managers, interviewers, and operations/coordinators within The Graph ecosystem to effectively source and assess candidates for open positions
  • Recommending recruitment-related ideas and strategies that will contribute to the long-term, healthy growth of The Graph ecosystem
  • Developing innovative sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates and building a quality talent pipeline
  • Delivering on hiring priorities

What We Expect

  • At least some prior experience in a recruiting role where you had a proven record of success in candidate generation and engagement in a fast-paced, ambiguous hiring environment (6 months minimum)
  • A bias for action, a tendency to lean into problems, resourcefulness, and an ability to research, ask questions, and work towards a solution
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • An inherent passion for web3, blockchain technology, decentralization, and censorship resistance
  • Either previous professional experience in web3 or a strong affinity to web3 and blockchain technology
  • Previous experience supporting hiring efforts in a startup environment (bonus)

About The Graph

The Graph is the source of data and information for the decentralized internet. As the original decentralized data marketplace that introduced and standardized subgraphs, The Graph has become web3’s method of indexing and accessing blockchain data. Since its launch in 2018, tens of thousands of developers have built subgraphs for dapps across 40+ blockchains - including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Polygon, Celo, Fantom, Gnosis, and Avalanche.

As demand for data in web3 continues to grow, The Graph enters a New Era with a more expansive vision including new data services and query languages, ensuring the decentralized protocol can serve any use case - now and into the future.
