Full-Time in Anywhere, worldwide - Remote OK - Senior - Product
What We’re Looking For

Edge & Node (E&N) is looking for a seasoned Product Manager with a strong background in user experience to own the delivery of several new strategic product initiatives. E&N is the team behind The Graph, a recently launched decentralized protocol for querying open APIs called subgraphs, which already has hundreds of users and hundreds of millions of dollars in tokens participating in the protocol. Our previously launched hosted service currently powers the most prominent applications in the Ethereum ecosystem, serving billions of queries per month and growing exponentially. We have an energized and vibrant community of users that are passionate about what we’re building.

As Product Manager, you will own the next generation of The Graph Explorer - which you can think of as an app store for developing, publishing, and discovering open APIs--re-built completely around the recently launched decentralized network. Your mandate will be to grow usage of the network and facilitate the migration of all 10B+ monthly queries on the hosted service to the decentralized network. As part of this, you will launch a new Gateway product which is designed to act as a centralized on-ramp to the decentralized network and will be integrated into the Explorer product experience.

  • Help shape product strategy based on a deep understanding of The Graph’s vision and market opportunity.
  • Define features and a prioritized product roadmap that delivers on The Graph’s strategic objectives.
  • Write clear and detailed product requirements documents (PRDs), wireframes, and other artifacts useful for coordinating with design, engineering, and marketing, to ship products at a high quality bar and on schedule.
  • Become a champion for our users, by engaging with users online, conducting user research, developing user personas, and finding other ways to walk a mile in our users shoes and empathize with their pain points.
  • Identify qualitative and quantitative measures for validating the success of individual product features, as well as the product strategy as a whole.
Desired skills
  • Proven track record: You have taken multiple products from ideation, through design and development, shipping to users, and iterating based on user feedback and market reception.
  • Generalist: You have a growth mindset when it comes to acquiring new knowledge and are able to synthesize information from a variety of domains to be effective.
  • Craftsmanship: You obsess over things like design affordances, tooltips, information architecture, visual hierarchies, product terminology, and translating complex concepts into simple user flows. Product is your craft.
  • Generalist: You have a growth mindset when it comes to acquiring new knowledge and are able to synthesize information from a variety of domains to be effective.
  • Self-directed: You are able to operate independently in a remote environment and proactively identify the most important tasks to maximize your contribution. You have a bias towards action.
  • Expert communicator: You are comfortable presenting to audiences large and small and are a clear communicator across a variety of mediums. You identify the right artifacts to produce to communicate your ideas, whether it be a requirements document, a slide deck, a video, a wireframe, or something else, based on the needs of your audience and the task at hand.
  • Natural leader: You are effective at presenting your ideas, getting alignment across diverse stakeholders, and driving execution in a cross-functional environment.
  • Team player: People love working with you and you make the people around you more effective. You take pride in being a force multiplier.
Strongly Recommended
  • Crypto Native: You have already "fallen down the crypto rabbit hole." You are familiar with, if not an expert in, concepts like blockchain, distributed systems, bonding curves, decentralized finance (DeFi), consensus, Web3, etc.
  • DevTools/Fintech Experience: You’ve either worked on developer tools or fintech products before. Alternatively, you’ve worked as a web developer or been in a role that required a high degree of financial literacy.
About The Team

Edge & Node is a globally distributed team. We work hard, but our remote-first team affords a high degree of autonomy and flexibility. Our few scheduled meetings tend to be in the morning, pacific standard time (PST). Most of our team, even at the individual contributor level, has started companies or led large teams and it shows in the way that people manage their own productivity. We’re mission-oriented, and hold one another accountable with results rather than vanity metrics like time spent at your desk. If you need to book a vacation, or make a doctor’s appointment, go for an afternoon run, or even just get some fresh air, we trust you to use your time effectively.

Despite being remote-first, our team is fairly tight-knit and often feels like a family. You can expect quarterly offsites (once Covid permits) in different parts of the world, where we strategize as a team, brainstorm around a whiteboard, go on team outings, have spirited and varied conversations over wine, coffee, or kombucha, and get to know each other on a personal level. We value diversity and bringing your whole self to work, including your weird hobbies, unique life experiences, cultural traditions, obscure music tastes, and whatever else makes you you. In addition to offsites, you’ll have the option to travel to conferences and meetups around the world, where you’ll get to know individual teammates on a more personal level and also build relationships with our users and community.

We pay competitive salaries to all team members, based on level of contribution and country of residence, and offer generous health benefits to U.S. based employees.
